Business Services
Business Services is a service organization, comprised of the Office of the Associate Vice President for Finance and Administration, the Contracts Office, the Sponsored Agreements Office and the Space Planning Projects Office, committed to providing expert business and contractual services and modern facilities to UCAR, NCAR, UOP and E&O in support of their missions, constituents, and sponsors while fostering an ethical, innovative and professional environment.
The Contracts group deals with the flow of money out of UCAR/NCAR/UOP.
The Contracts Office is responsible for the procurement of goods and services required to support all UCAR/NCAR/UOP divisions, programs, and projects. This responsibility also includes the negotiation and administration of purchase orders, contract agreements, hotel events, leases, and consulting agreements.
The Sponsored Agreements group deals with the flow of money into UCAR/NCAR/UOP.
The Sponsored Agreements Office is responsible for the receipt, negotiation, authorization, and acceptance of all incoming funded and no-cost award agreements, such as contracts, cooperative agreements, grants and MOU’s. Sponsored Agreements also assists entity Budget Offices, Finance, Divisions and Programs with issues of compliance.
Space Planning Projects Office
The Space Planning Projects Office is responsible for updating, maintaining, and implementing UCAR’s master space plan, implementing policies and procedures related to space issues, maintaining space inventory and the space assignment database, validating division/program space needs, assisting with planning, and management of common area space.
